Darren Labs AI Lab · 24 October 2026

DarrenLabs-7B and DarrenLabs-32B.

Two models we ran on our own Oracle VM in Batam, timed in public, free to run with Ollama.

7B: 169 tokens per second on 32GB VRAM, on average, 8.8 on our CPU. 32B: 54 on 32GB VRAM, on average, 1.89 on our CPU. The 32B test took about seven minutes on CPU.

One scene, four moments. Scroll to build it.

Plate IThe studio builds itself

Three zones: AI Studio · VoltWorks Power · AI Architecture Patterns. Drag to orbit · Scroll builds the scene · Select an item for a short description.

01 · Studio

One person directs. Agents build. A human verifies.

Darren sets the goal and defines what “good” looks like. Agents build the first version. Darren reviews the result.

Brief → Generate → Verify → Fix → Re-verify.

02 · VoltWorks Power

Power-system CAD without repetitive drafting.

Engineers design with confidence. Newcomers can follow the drawings.

  • True-scale 3D: 1 unit = 1 m; inspect equipment at full size.
  • Single-line-diagram (SLD) builder with an integrated 3D view.
  • Engineering calculators that show their work: IEC 60364 and 60909, IEEE 1584-2018, NFPA 70E.

03 · AI Architecture Patterns

Diagrams, trade-offs, judgment.

A visual design library for AI systems: what works, what it costs, and when not to use it.

  • Visual patterns in plain language.
  • Measured trade-offs: gains, costs, and failure modes.
  • Runnable demos: try the idea instead of only reading about it.

04 · Verify loop

Brief, build, check with our own eyes, fix, check again.

That loop built this site, VoltWorks, and MEP Suits. Nothing goes live unchecked.

Models first. The rest, each on its own page.

Start with the models above. Below them: VoltWorks for power-system CAD, MEP Suits for building services, and AI Architecture Patterns, the notes from building both.

DarrenLabs AI Models

Two open Qwen models, renamed for DarrenLabs, with house rules that say what they are and what they must not invent. Ran on ai-lab in Batam. Timed in public, slow results included. 7B: 169 tokens per second on 32GB VRAM, on average. 32B: 54. Run both free, on your own machine, with Ollama.

Flagship · Power

VoltWorks Power

Power-system CAD that removes repetitive drafting. True-scale 3D (1 unit = 1 m), a single-line-diagram (SLD) builder with an integrated 3D view, and engineering calculators that show their work.

MEP Suits

A building-services mechanical toolkit, built by an engineer for the plant room. Eight calculators: Duct Sizer, Psychrometrics, Ventilation (ASHRAE 62.1), Pipe Hydraulics, Water and Coil Loads, Fan Laws, Room Cooling Load, and Unit Converter; plus a 3D System Viewer (outdoor AC unit, duct runs, industrial pipes) linked live to the duct and pipe calculators.

Every tool shows its method and formula, and checks results against ASHRAE and CIBSE design bands. This is a design aid: results must be verified by a licensed engineer before construction or procurement.

AI Architecture Patterns

A visual design library for AI systems: diagrams, trade-offs, runnable demos, and when not to use each pattern.

Every project, marked free or paid.

The models are first. The Projects page lists the rest, each on its own page, marked free or paid, live or in development. The Products page is what you can use or buy: VoltWorks, MEP Suits, and Omni Eyes View are free, FlutterKit templates are paid.

What VoltWorks and MEP Suits actually do.

VoltWorks draws power systems at true scale, 1 unit to 1 metre, with calculators for IEC 60364, IEC 60909, IEEE 1584, and NFPA 70E. MEP Suits has eight building-services calculators, from Duct Sizer to Room Cooling Load, linked to a 3D plant-room viewer. Patterns is the written judgment from building both: which pattern to use, what it costs, and when to avoid it.
